Types of Joins in SQL

Joins combine columns from one or more tables based on logical relationships between them.

Join Types Summary

Join Type Resulting Data Set
INNER JOIN Only rows where the join condition is satisfied in BOTH tables.
LEFT JOIN All rows from Left table + matching Right table rows (or NULL).
RIGHT JOIN All rows from Right table + matching Left table rows (or NULL).
FULL OUTER JOIN All rows from both tables; unmatched attributes filled with NULL.
CROSS JOIN Cartesian product: Table A (N rows) * Table B (M rows) = N*M.
SELF JOIN A table joined with itself, typically using aliases e1 and e2.
